Resident, Visitor and Business Permits

The resident permit scheme in Great Yarmouth operates between 8am and 6pm and anyone living within the permit zone (link PDF) can apply for a permit. This map (link PDF) shows the zone in greater detail. In addition to the zone there are 2 areas of on-street parking where permits may be issued to eligible residents.

The permit is for vehicles that will be parked on the street within the residents parking zone. You do not need a permit to park on your driveway.

If your household has more than one vehicle registered to your address, all vehicles will need a permit to park on the street.

If you have regular visitors to your property, you can also apply for an annual visitor permit.

If you are a business within the permit zone, you can apply for one business and one business visitor permit.

  • the details of the vehicle they have provided to you
  • it is for your sole use
  • it is kept at the property address
